Our Program
Tailored Education
Every horse comes into the program as an individual, with it's own unique set of background experiences and future goals (usually dictated by the owner). It is our job to fill in the holes in its foundation, answer questions they may have, and build confidence and skill in their job.

We like to say that our program has "no flunkies". Meaning, we keep tailoring the education to help the horse learn. If the chosen "career" for the horse is not within reach, Versatile Equine has experience in various disciplines, so your horse has a chance to succeed in a different discipline that may be more suited.
Customized Nutrition
Feed is one of the most important parts of our program. It does it's job in the background, helping the horses both physically and mentally.

We have a very carefully crafted nutrition program. We feed the horse a clean diet, composed of:

-
grass hay (measured to ensure the horse constantly has access to forage)
-
good quality forage pellets (timothy, orchard grass, or alfalfa)
-
a bioavailable vitamin/mineral supplement
-
ground flax
-
turmeric
Supportive Bodywork
Bodywork is one of the most overlooked aspects of training programs. Many behavioral "issues" can be traced back to a physical pain. We incorporate bodywork into our program because if we can stay ahead of physical issues, the training usually goes smoother, and the horses are mentally happier.

Our bodywork consists of:
-
massage
-
Magnawave PEMF
-
taping

We will also look at a horse's feet and make sure the are in balance. We work closely with a equine dentist who specializes in a balanced mouth with TMJ considerations (far beyond a basic float).
Education for Rider/Owner
Our goal is to create wonderful partnerships between horse and rider. That doesn't work one way. The horse can't be the only piece of the puzzle to change. The rider/owner will be included in our program so that the transition between our barn and their home is as seamless as possible.

Through lessons and clinics, we offer various opportunities for the rider/owner to gain more knowledge and understand their horse better.
